SMALL PACKAGE, HIGH OCTANE COMPUTING
When it comes to mobile computing solutions, there's no need to sacrifice versatility or power. Equipped with a dual-core Intel Ivy Bridge i5 mobile processor and dressed to impress, the TRS-Nuvo3100VTC is compact for easy stowage within a vehicle cabin, but packs enough I/O to handle just about any in-vehicle application. With on-board Intel HD 4000 graphics powering dual DisplayPorts and DVI-I (adaptable to digital or analog outputs), this system can handle demanding multi-display infotainment applications including passenger information monitors (PIM) for point of sale or advertising in public transport. Four PoE 802.3at ports provide 25.5 watts of power for use with pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras in mobile surveillance or law enforcement applications. 6 USB ports (including 4 USB 3.0), 8-bit DIO, and dual COM ports round out the connectivity for peripherals including touchscreen interfaces or credit card readers.
SOLID STATE, SOLID RELIABILITY
In a fanless, ventless enclosure that protects against dirt and other debris, the TRS-Nuvo3100VTC is protected from the risks of clogged fans or shorted components to ensure longer life of the hardware. The whole system is hardened against shock and vibration, and is rated for operation in temperatures as low as -25°C and as high as 70°C. To further protect components from failure in vibration-prone vehicular deployments, this system is equipped with a 60 GB wide-temp SSD featuring Advanced Host Power Loss protection to ensure protection of data during power failures. It also features a hot-swap bay for externally accessible storage in data collection applications.
The TRS-Nuvo3100VTC's utility doesn't end with connectivity; the automotive power supply offers ignition sensing, as well as timing delays to manage system shutdown when the vehicle is turned off, extending the life of internal components and protecting the vehicle battery from draining. The system is also E-Mark certified for in-vehicle applications. On-board expansion includes the option for a cellular modem and GPS functionality, which can be paired with a SIM card for go-anywhere data logging and asset tracking.
