The DCDC-USB-200 is a high power buck-boost micro-controller DC-DC converter. It accepts any input ranging from 6~34 volts and the output can either be 12-volt regulated or changed with simple jumper settings to 5, 6, 9, 12, 13.5, 18 or 24 volts or via USB in fine increments (0.25 volts) anywhere from 5 to 24 volts. The DCDC-USB-200 is excellent for powering a mainboard with single rail power from any voltage to any voltage and is great for use with laptops and custom electronics.

There are 4 modes of operation:

  • Dumb mode: Acts as a regular buck-boost DC-DC converter with wide input (6~34 volts) and produces a fixed 12-volt output (or any output from 5~24 volts)
  • Automotive mode: Acts as an intelligent power supply, ignition aware, and will send ON/OFF pulse to the mainboard to shut the system down or turn it on. Power consumption is less than 1 mA.
  • UPS mode: Acts as an intelligent UPS unit; it will shut down at prescribed battery voltages.
  • Script mode: Can be programmed to wake up, sleep based on pre-programmed scripts.
