Embux ICS-2010 from Logic Supply

New SBCs and tiny Box PC from Embux provide IPC users with a more reliable, industrial ARM solution.

AUGUST 17, 2016 (SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT) - Fanless, small form factor computer specialist Logic Supply (www.onlogic.com) has unveiled a trio of new products from ARM hardware developer Embux. The two Single Board Computers (the ICM-2010 and the ICM-3011) and tiny Box PC (ICS-2010) are designed for use by industrial hardware developers looking to standardize on a highly versatile, long lifecycle, wide temperature computing platform that was built from the ground up for commercial use.

"By partnering with Embux we're now able to offer our clients a truly industrial ARM solution," said Murat Erdogan, Product Manager at Logic Supply. "The wide operating temperature range, impressive array of features and long lifecycle of these SBCs will allow ARM developers to standardize on a reliable platform that can be installed in environments where other ARM solutions would struggle to survive. The ICS-2010 Mini PC adds the benefit of a pre-populated enclosure with all the features necessary to prototype and deploy a complete ARM-based hardware solution. These products are a departure from more consumer-targeted ARM development platforms that simply don't provide the long-term support that our industrial clients need."

All three of Logic Supply's new ARM-based offerings are powered by the popular ARM Cortex-A9 i.MX6 DualLite 1.0 GHz processor. OS support includes Android, Linux Ubuntu (ICM-2010 & ICS-2010 only) and Yocto, which are available pre-loaded on an 8GB MLC SD card. Built using all solid capacitors and 1% precision resistors, as well as a completely jumperless design, the Embux boards and mini PC have been built for the rigors of modern industry to stand up to 24/7 operation and environmental challenges. Both motherboards feature a wide operating temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees celsius, while the ICS-2010 Mini Box PC offers a 0 to 50 celsius range.

All three Embux ARM products are available now by visiting www.onlogic.com/computers/embedded/arm or by calling 802-861-2300.

The ICM-2010 Pico-ITX Embedded Motherboard

The ICM-2010 motherboard delivers next generation ARM processing power and a highly versatile compliment of industrial I/O, all while conforming to the ultra small Pico-ITX form factor and consuming only 3 W of power. At just 2.5" the ICM-2010 is powered by the highly capable Freescale Cortex A-9 i.MX6 DualLite chip. This tiny SBC features 1GB of on-board DDR3 RAM and includes HDMI, 3 x USB 2.0 (2 populated), 2 wire RS-232 serial connector and Gigabit LAN. A full-size mini PCIe slot allows for additional customization and expansion. The ICM-2010 is priced starting at $193.00.

The ICS-2010 Mini Box PC

The ICS-2010 is a tiny, RISC-based box PC built around the ICM-2010 motherboard, offering an energy-efficient computing platform for hardware users seeking a self-contained ARM solution. The ICS-2010 makes an ideal rapid development device for industrial control, home automation, kiosk, digital signage or robotics applications. In addition to all the features and connectivity of the ICM-2010 motherboard, the ICS-2010 mini box PC features an all aluminum chassis and an integrated real-time programmable display to monitor current, voltage and temperature. The ICS-2010 is available starting at $309.00.

The ICM-3011 3.5" Embedded Motherboard

The ICM-3011 from Embux is a low profile, 3.5” motherboard that features ultra-efficient Cortex-A9 ARM processing, consuming only 3.5 W of power. The ICM-3011 offers a variety of I/O including 4 USB 2.0 ports (2 internal), HDMI, 2 x 18/24-bit LVDS outputs, Gigabit LAN, 4GB eMMC NAND and 8MB NOR flash. Expansion is available via dual full/half size mini PCIe slots and onboard SIM card socket. Onboard CAN bus, GPIO and a wide input voltage of 10.8~26.4 volts all make the ICM-3011 a highly versatile industrial automation computing platform. The ICM-3011 starts at $249.00.
