The VIA VB8002-16 is a multimedia-rich mainboard utilizing VIA's advanced, 64-bit superscalar Nano processor and CX700M2 chipset. It features a wide range of audio and video I/O, including support for DVI, S/PDIF (coaxial and optical), S-Video, YPbPr, TV-out, and onboard LVDS. The VIA VB8002 Mini-ITX mainboard is ideal for applications requiring flexible multimedia capabilities: the integrated HDTV encoder on the VB8002 is complete with an advanced ASIC which uses VIA's Advance ProScale Technology to scale regular input resolutions up to standard HDTV resolution output. And, with built-in support for MPEG-2/-4 decoding, the mainboard is well suited for media servers, media streaming, and digital set-top box designs.
