It features a wide range of advanced I/O, including support for 8 USB 2.0, 2 SATA (3Gb/sec.) connectors, PCI Express x16, 2 DDR2 667 memory slots, and DirectX 9 graphics support. The VIA VB8001 Mini-ITX mainboard is ideal for applications requiring a cost-effective, energy-efficient solution that does not compromise platform attributes for affordability. It is well suited for the small desktop systems or optimized PCs.
