The IPX7A-ION is a consumer-grade image processing platform—touting the 1.6 GHz dual core Atom 330 processor and NVIDIA ION MCP7A chipset. Another Mini-ITX mainboard designed around the NVIDIA ION, the IPX7A-ION offers the performance of an Intel dual core processor paired with the premium graphics capabilities of an NVIDIA graphics card, but for a more affordable price and with greater power efficiency. It features HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, PCI Express (x16), digital audio, and 4 SATA (3 Gb/sec.) connectors with RAID support. The IPX7A-ION is not recommended for long-term projects, but it is an excellent solution for HTPC systems and digital signage player prototypes.
This NVIDIA CUDA-enabled platform can also be used as a low-cost option for high performance parallel computing applications in a variety of educational and research-oriented environments.
