One of the first mainboard manufacturer's to design a platform around the ION, ZOTAC delivers a range of options primed for multimedia applications with its IONITX series. These boards are mainly geared toward the HTPC market, and are packed with features to match the intensive image processing requirements, but for a more affordable price-point and in a smaller, more efficient platform. The IONITX-A-U features the dual-core Atom 330 processor, onboard power, HDMI, DVI, eSATA, 10 USB 2.0 ports, digital audio, and wireless connectivity via pre-installed PCIe Mini Card (antenna comes with the accessories). A consumer-grade board (no long-term support, limited onboard I/O), the ZOTAC ION is not recommended for project customers, but is an excellent solution for HTPC systems and digital signage player prototypes.

This NVIDIA CUDA-enabled platform can also be used as a low-cost option for high performance parallel computing applications in a variety of educational and research-oriented environments.
