Features

The Emphase FMH40I horizontal series flash module makes it convenient to configure solid state platforms in custom enclosures or in chassis with height restrictions. It can either plug directly into a standard 40-pin IDE port (female side of module) or be connected via a 40-pin IDE cable (male side of module) to act as a hard drive. Also, a dual-sided layout featuring male and female connectors allows multiple IDE devices to be attached, freeing your platform from previous restrictions when using a standard IDE direct-plug flash module.

With no moving parts, wide temperature range, and R/W endurance of 4,000,000 times, the FMH40I increases the range of environments and climate conditions your system can withstand. The wear-leveling algorithm extends the module's lifetime and performance by evenly spreading the media usage across all pages in the flash. Also, the FMH40I supports most operating systems, including Windows XPe and Linux.

Note: The FMH40I F-series can plug directly into an IDE port (IDE notch faces toward flash module) or it can connect to a standard 40-pin IDE cable via pin headers. Because the IDE port location and layout varies from each mainboard, be sure to confirm component compatibility. Also available in 44-pin versions.
