Features

The new Emphase FDM 8000 series flash module is an ultra-fast, four-channel embedded storage device. It plugs directly into a standard 40-pin IDE port to act as a hard drive. With no moving parts, wide temperature range, Master/Slave switch selectable, enhanced power cycling, and write protection, the FDM 8000 increases the range of environments and operating configurations your system can withstand. The wear-leveling algorithm extends the module's lifetime and performance by evenly spreading the media usage across all pages in the flash and the built-in S.M.A.R.T. function allows you to actively monitor the status of the drive. Also, the FDM 8000 supports most operating systems, including Windows Embedded Standard and Linux.

Emphase flash memory uses single-level cell (SLC) chips. SLC chips offer superior durability, energy efficiency, and performance over consumer-based flash memory using multi-level cell (MLC) chips. Read more here.
