The VIA EPIA-M850 is a reliable, multimedia platform featuring the 64-bit 1.6 GHz Nano E processor and VX900 chipset, touting hardware acceleration for the latest VC1, H.264, MPEG-2 and WMV9 HD formats at screen resolutions of up to 1080p without incurring a heavy CPU load. Onboard HDMI and VGA ports with pin headers for dual channel 24-bit LVDS provide a range of display connectivity options. Additional I/O includes Gb LAN, 2 SATA (3 Gb/sec.) connectors, PCI Express x4, 2 DDR3 1066 SO-DIMM memory slots for up to 8 GB RAM, and onboard GPIO. The VIA EPIA-M850 Mini-ITX mainboard is ideal for digital signage, kiosks, and other commercial multimedia applications.
