The BCM970012 is a video/audio hardware decoder in the PCIe Mini Card form factor. It is designed to reduce CPU utilization and allows for full HD real-time decoding support for mobile platform solutions.

Mainboards and systems that currently can support the Broadcom Hardware Decoder in the PCIe Mini Card Slot:

• Johnstown D945GSEJT Mini-ITX Mainboard
  
• MSI WindBOXII (MS-9A25) Barebone
  
• AOpen DE2700 Barebone
  

Other mainboards and systems will need to be validated to work with the Broadcom Hardware Decoder. Currently, the MSI MS-9830 and Quanmax QBOX-1000 cannot support this device.

Please note: The drivers supplied below are only for Windows operating systems. For the most up-to-date drivers and support (including Linux drivers) please see the Broadcom website.

Please note: This product requires software that is able to utilize DirectShow Filters.  Media Player Classic is a free player that is compatible with most media formats.  Direct playback of commercial Blu-ray discs is not supported at this time.
