VIA's newest additions to its embedded mainboard line are two advanced Pico-ITX platforms designed to drive high-definition multimedia content. Featuring the VIA VX855 media system processor with built-in support for H.264, MPEG-2/4, DivX and WMV9 standards, the VIA EPIA-P820 and VIA EPIA-P720 series boards offer project customers the ability to design ultra small, portable solutions for a wide range of image processing applications. The EPIA-P820 touts the VIA Nano 1.2 GHz processor while the EPIA-P720 comes equipped with the 1 GHz Eden ULV fanless processor; both feature HDMI, Gb LAN, SATA, and LVDS and are excellent for integrating into existing systems or custom enclosures.

The Jetway NF92 series is a fanless, efficient mainboard designed around the Intel Atom N270 processor and 945GSE chipset. It features DC 12-volt onboard power, LVDS, GPIO, and support for Jetway's signature expansion daughterboards. These provide additional networking or legacy I/O ports, allowing customers to maximize system flexibility without compromising space (daughterboards mount directly over the mainboard and additional ports are accessible via the backplate). With a built-in power supply and the ability to easily expand the I/O feature set, the NF92 is excellent for use in a variety of applications where space constraints are a concern. Also, the NF92 is a long life cycle offering from Jetway, enabling project customers the freedom to prototype and deploy systems while knowing they are using a stable, reliable platform.

Coming soon, the SL1UR-B is a 1U rackmount enclosure specifically designed to meet a wide range of appliance computing requirements. At ten inches deep, the chassis is much more compact than traditional rackmounts and has additional mounting options, including side mounting brackets for installation to a variety of surfaces. The interior of the case is constructed for the utmost flexibility in storage and power supply configurations. It can support either an ATX or direct-plug picoPSU power supply, multiple storage devices, and dual PCI expansion slots. There is space for two extra 40 mm cooling fans for optimal airflow management and the front of the panel has a beveled section that can be custom branded. The SL1UR-B comes with a universal backplate and is compatible with a broad selection of Mini-ITX mainboards.
