| First VIA Nano-Based Mainboard |
The first Mini-ITX mainboard designed around the new VIA Nano processor has arrived at Logic Supply. The VIA Nano introduces new advantages to the Mini-ITX form factor; the CPU expertly pairs efficiency with both performance and speed while taking up very little real estate on the mainboard. The VB8001 mainboard features a 1.6GHz Nano processor (800MHz FSB), the CN896 chipset with VIA Chrome9 HC graphics, Gb LAN, PCI Express, and support for 8 USB 2.0 ports. An economical, Vista-capable platform, the VB8001 is excellent for use in Internet-centric applications and optimized PCs.

| Intel Atom-Based Mini-ITX Mainboards |
Finally, there are Atom-based mainboards with the I/O and feature set to fully meet our customers' span of requirements. MSI offers two Atom-based options—one touting the embedded 945GSE chipset and the other equipped with the 945GC. Both are more geared toward industrial applications and feature support for 6 RS-232 COM ports, Gb LAN, and wireless connectivity (via PCIe Mini Card slot). The Jetway NC92-230-LF is an Atom-based solution that supports Jetway's add-on modules, which enable greater platform expandability and network connectivity. And, of course, there are the cost-effective Intel Little Falls 1 and 2 mainboards available for nettop systems.

| Mini-ITX Cases for Nettops |
Since the demand for portable nettop solutions has increased significantly this past year, our case manufacturers have responded in kind. Logic Supply is offering the Morex T-3500 (60W and 150W), AOpen S135A, and Jetway JC-101-B Mini-ITX cases. The T-3500 and S135 are fanless, compact, support a slimline optical drive, and can be displayed vertically or horizontally. The JC-101-B features dual expansion slots, mounting brackets, optical drive bay, and support for two hard drives. Each of these enclosures is well suited for utilization in nettop and thin client applications.

| Windows XP Last Buy Reminder |
Reminder! January 31, 2009 is the last-time buy date for OEM Windows XP licenses. As a system builder, Logic Supply can procure OEM Windows XP licenses, but only until January 31, 2009. Project customers can now pre-buy OEM licenses for Windows XP and Logic Supply will hold them in-stock until ready for use. If customers do not pre-buy licenses, there will be a Vista downgrade option available after January 31, 2009 and after Logic Supply sells the last of its licenses. More information to follow on what our customers can expect with the Vista downgrade option. Microsoft has an FAQ page on Windows XP, its current availability, and its transition to Windows Vista.
Project customers: Please contact your technical sales associate about pre-buying Windows XP licenses.
