The Relay cape is ideal to control devices such as lamps, motors, buzzers, bells, sirens, solenoids, sprinklers, garage doors and many other circuits. The high current relays can switch loads controlled by the BeagleBone. Four push-buttons or digital inputs provide signals to the BeagleBone. These inputs can be sensors, switches or external events to create an automated controller. Four additional digital outputs can drive signals to other devices such as LED, other relays, or digital devices. The output signal can be set to 5 or 3.3 volts to easily interface with external systems. Servo, DC and stepper motors can be interfaced for simple robotic applications. Finally analog voltage values can be measured such as a potentiometer or battery voltage (up to 18V).
Dual relay output allows control of two devices or provide DC motor direction control (forward, reverse). Quad PWM capable outputs can control 4 small DC motors or one unipolar stepper motor.
Analog (ADC) input allows monitoring battery voltage, and reading a potentiometer. Suitable for simple robotic and control applications, the relay cape can control an R/C servo motor.
