The Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) Boston is from September 21-24, 2009. This year, Logic Supply has a booth at the exposition hall, and is featuring all our exciting, new products. We also are showcasing our new Compatibility System, which can be viewed here: http://compare.logicsupply.com, a customer’s application that is currently being deployed in Boston taxi cabs, and our waterproof computer—in a fish tank.

In the bottom left-hand corner of the image above, you can see a small portion of our IP67-rated, fanless, waterproof computer in action. Here’s a closer shot shown below.
The computer was hooked up to an IP64-rated touchscreen from IEI that viewers could interact with and control different settings for the fish tank (i.e., lights and water pump). Below the touchscreen panel was an open view of the system with heat pipe installed. The case is the Serener GW-01 and inside is the MSI IM-945GSE Industrial Mini-ITX mainboard with the 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor. The cables output VGA, LAN, 2x USB and 2x COM ports, and power.
One of our customers, Creative Mobile Technologies (CMT) was very kind to allow us to feature their system and application at our booth.
CMT deploys a customized SolidLogic Nano GS-L05 Fanless System into taxi cabs found in Chicago, Boston, and New York. The system runs an interactive touchscreen that is mounted in the back of the taxi cab. Passengers can use this screen to access information about local restaurants, businesses, news, maps, and so on. The computer also drives the meter, credit card swipe, and the navigation system. People attending ESC might have actually ridden in a taxi cab that would have had one of these computers!
And, we showcased our new Compatibility System. ESC attendees were able to use the touchscreen panel to browse our full selection of mainboards and cases, compare features, and determine component compatibility, all in one place.
