FreeNAS only accepts a compressed file when using the built-in firmware upgrade feature. So if you use this image to upgrade an existing installation, make sure you first compress (zip) the file. Save or rename the resulting .zip file as .img and you're good to go.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say that I submitted our patches to Volker (main FreeNAS dev) and he says he's incorporated them into 0.69.2 and 0.7, so hopefully things should be smooth with FreeNAS on the A2000 from here on out :)

Also, new image that solves Burr's issues coming soon, stay tuned.

Burr: We're currently testing an updated image that should take care of the issues you're seeing.

Martin: It looks like the patch for the gigE has already been submitted and should be on FreeBSD 7.1 (stable) at this point (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=130846). The SATA patch came from George Hartzell (who helped me out A LOT with creating our custom build, thanks George!) who said that he submitted the patch to both the FreeBSD developers and the FreeNAS developers, so hopefully it will find its way into future builds.

Any chance you will contribute these improvements to the main branch of FreeNAS? Would be great to have it merged into the next release of 0.69.x.
